I love the idea of setting aside time to "date" each of my children. Gabrielle and I have had lots of mini dates, but with a rambunctious toddler, they're usually short and sweet. I'm looking forward to the time when she can pick the places she wants to go, the new thing she wants to do, and the special treats she wants to share. I wonder if they'll be as special to her as they are to me.
Today we had one of our mini dates at the mall while we waited for some pictures to be printed at Blacks. She loved her taco, and actually asked to sit in the highchair (she usually prefers a lap), but the real hit was watching all the people in the food court.
