Gabrielle and I had a picnic in the backyard this evening, or rather, we ate dinner in the backyard this evening. We would probably both have to sit down and eat together at the same time to actually qualify as a picnic. I think she still enjoyed it in her 17-month-old way, even if she ate most of it on the run. Her five second routine mostly involved banging her spoon on the plate a few times, stuffing a fistful of food into her mouth, and running away as fast as possible. We're still working on table manners.
