Today's activity included a hike up the Sleeping Beauty trail near Mt. Adams. The whole thing was only about 3 miles but it was by far the most grueling of all our hikes so far (we gained 1,400 feet in elevation on foot). I don't know how high up the trail started out but I found the altitude a bit hard to handle. The neat thing about this hike is that you can see all four mountains from the top (Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Ranier).
